We are acutely aware of the detrimental effects of overtourism, not only on our delicate environment, with its looming climate change challenges, but also on the very heart of local communities.

Our Methodology: CNM - EPI - DEMAND

To achieve our goals, we don't just call for reliable data — we built a methodology to produce it, using AI to support human judgment rather than replace it.

Our methodology is the natural guardrail for Artificial Intelligence. It uses AI to gather and structure evidence — but keeps a human being accountable for every decision that follows.

The framework rests on three pillars:

CNM ©: Context · Nexus · Modelling.

We read real evidence about a destination the way a careful researcher would — reports, community accounts, environmental data — structuring and cross-referencing it so every conclusion can be traced back to its source.

EPI ©: Ethical Proximity Index.

We score how close current practice sits to responsible, community-centred tourism across seven dimensions: Environmental, Transformative, Human, Inclusive, Cultural, Adaptive, Local.

DEMAND ©: Data · Ethics · Matrix · Agent · Nexus · Dynamics.

We keep watching. Scores are monitored over time, and a human Agent — not a piece of software — sits at the centre of the framework, reviewing what the system surfaces and holding the authority to act.

That's the distinction that matters to us: AI-assisted, not AI-governed. The technology finds and organises the evidence. People — communities, partners, and the decision-makers we work with — make the decisions.
